PCI status

NeuConnect was granted Project of Common Interest (PCI) status by the European Commission in 2019, recognising it as an important cross-borded infrastructure project and one that will help European countries achieve key energy policy and climate objectives. A link to the European Commission’s website which has more information on PCIs can be viewed at: https://ec.europa.eu/energy/en/topics/infrastructure/projects-common-interest

As with a number of other UK projects, NeuConnect’s PCI status expired with the UK’s exit from the EU, but the NeuConnect project is still widely recognised as playing an important role in supporting secure and sustainable energy goals in Europe.
