NeuConnect was granted Project of Common Interest (PCI) status by the European Commission in 2019
Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) are key cross border infrastructure projects that link the energy systems of different countries. They are intended to help these countries achieve key energy policy and climate objectives: including securing affordable, secure and sustainable energy for all citizens, and the long-term decarbonisation of the economy in accordance with the Paris Agreement.

As PCI project status has now been confirmed, the Trans-European Network – Electricity (TEN-E) regulations apply. A link to the UK’s Manual of Procedures under the TEN-E Regulations can be found at:
